My Review:
This is my second book that I read by K.A. Tucker, and just like I liked the first one, I absolutely liked this one! I think I will have to read more of K.A. Tucker!
I can honestly say that I hate giving to much of the book away and telling my readers what the book is about because I believe that it is better if you go into a story half blind. You can read the synopsis, but most of the times I don't even like doing that because sometimes it gives away everything about the story line.... Well anyway I'm here to tell you why I liked the book, what I liked and what I didn't...I will not going to summarize it.
I think the thing I love the most about the book is the way it is written. Honestly K.A.Tucker has an astounding writing style that I love. It is simple and easy to understand but it is also beautiful. The book changed chapters from Then to Now. It went from the perspective of the female main character to the male main character. Female=Now; Male=Then (just a hint). I loved the changes of times and perspective, it made a story a lot more interesting to read and it even made it a little bit mysterious. But to tell honestly, the book was a little bit predictable...but at the same time I feel like every romance story is predictable to me, so maybe its just that I am good at guessing the plot twists and in what direction the characters are going (except for The Song of Ice and Fire..those books get me every damn time). But it was still an amazing story line with some pretty good characters.
The main two characters in the book are Jesse and Alex (aka. Water, aka Jane), but there are also a lot of awesome secondary characters! Jesse is our guy. To tell the truth, I didn't swoon for Jesse as much as I wanted to, but I did like him as a character more than Alex. Alex was just complicated and some things she did, I just couldn't get them. But the pair worked well, they fit each other perfectly. The feeling were very believable between them and the raw sexual attraction was also there.
I would definitely recommend this book to new adult romance lovers. The story plot was really good. The only thing is that I felt like the ending was a little bit rushed, but it did not effect the book that much. The book is still an amazing read. You would not want to miss this one out!
